Drops and Monster Lvl - Guild Wars Forums

i was just wondering if monsters that are say lvl 18 can drop max dmg weapons? i dont think i've ever seen it happen but still just wondering

i've seen a lvl 17 monster(skale blighter) dropped a max dmg sword, so i think its possible

It is in their range of dropped items, but has a lower percentage of chance to drop. On a related note, I got a 10/10 sundering string from a tengu just north of Lion's Arch, but the bow was only like 10-17. I think there might be a lower percentage of getting the mods also, because I got wood planks when I expert salvaged it. grrrr
